Being "dead to my flist" is when your offline, just set to away and learn to ignore childish comments. If they bother you THEY ARE SUCCEEDING. Having a full ignore list is common? Sorry mine is empty and i promise you more people in this game hate and rage at me then you could ever possibly imagine. Its very easy to avoid filling your ignore list by NOT putting everyone who bickers at you there. Learn some social skills and after a while people wont pick on you.
In all honesty this is a joke of an idea and how funny it is that this game is dead and you can still find people who hate you enough to need being ignored is beyond me....

It's not necessarily what they spam at you that's annoying. It's the fact that they do it behind their wall of ignore or DnD. Half of them wouldn't dare rage at you if they didn't have some kind of block available. Besides, regardless of whether we ignore it or not (which I do), would you rather get idiotic spam or not? Not to mention the more general idea of sending pm's but forgetting you're on DnD.

Don't care about it from the trash-talk point of view... but many times I have had legitimate trade PM's, when the person forgot they were "offline" or whatever, so I was unable to respond. Wouldn't happen if they were unable to send PM's while "offline".

I do this all the time accidently and it would be really nice if it prevented me. The same should apply to the Ignore and Offline functions.

Unfortunatly in aurguments people could just switch status to keep the 'conversation' one way, or unload everything and dnd/ignore before they have a chance to respond.

God forbid that people actually talk back to you when you insult them!

Aside from the elitist attitude the OP has, I think this suggestion is a very good idea
